The masses have spoken again (at least in my head), asking what the Redneck part of Redheads and Rednecks refers to.  Well, other then being from and loving the south, as well as loving the way alliteration leaps from the lips, not a lot.  But here’s an opportunity to provide you with a little insight into the redneck view of global warming.  Of course Rednecks are very logical people, sometimes using logic that liberals can understand. 

Whenever I speak out against the liberal view of global warming, it seems that I get accused of being some illiterate redneck.  Well, for your information, sir, rednecks have been protecting the environment and recycling stuff before it was hip, and still you look down on us.  So I felt the need to provide you with a few examples.

Rednecks have been recycling for their houses and for yard art for years.  Why buy that new plastic stuff, when you can find perfectly good yard decorations in your or your neighbors’ trash.  That old toilet is a perfectly good planter!  Don’t know what to do with that old computer?  Recycle it!  What about Christmas decorating?  Recycle!  Feel like grilling out?  Recycle!  And when it comes time to mow your grass, for goodness sake, don’t buy that big old smoke belching riding lawnmower, try one of these models!  Even the dog can get in on protecting the environment. 

Rednecks don’t just recycle when someone might be watching either.  We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk, and recycle indoors where most people never look (and most don’t want to go).  Ring the doorbell, and come on in.  You’ll find hot and cold running water in the bathroom.  While you’re there doing your business, take a look around.  We don’t need to buy some newfangled electric toothbrush; we’ve been recycling ours for years.  We’ve even embraced recycling to help us get a fog free shower.  Now that’s living!

When you have to go somewhere, if you want to go in style, there is no better style than Redneck Recycling style.  You can even go by limo, if you are willing to forgo the new car smell.  Or, for a week out on the water, try our yacht.  We’ll watch the kids for you while you’re out. 

When ever you are out, though, watch for those No Trespassing signs.  Someone may be recycling Mother Nature’s offerings.

Liberals love to present themselves as embracing evolution and being enlightened vs. us “Religious Zealots” who hold to the flat earth. Yet they try to keep the earth’s climate stagnant and prevent the whole system from changing and the organisms on it from evolving.

Let me first say that, as an engineer I love scientific progress and technology.  I think that evolution was a great idea put into place by God to allow his creatures to adapt and to prosper.

So why do liberals try to Conserve the current state of the climate? Why won’t they let the climate Progress? Why do they feel the need to deny evolution? Why not let the earth evolve? Why not Liberate us all from the current situation? Why won’t they Vote for Change! The animals and humans will adapt. This is the way it is intended to be.

They talk about the great danger that is a one degree change in temperature over several decades. They point to so many studies that speculate that animals are becoming extinct due to this apocalyptic change. And yet extinction and creation are an integral part of evolution. As one species adapts and evolves, some other must die out, as the first takes over the resources as the fittest.

Let’s look at some of the other benefits of Climate Change. (Or Hoped for benefits. It’s all part of Change we can Hope for!)

Plant life will benefit. The Amazon will grow. The arctic regions will flourish. A larger temperate zone means more farmland for mankind. Ocean volume will increase, fish will rejoice, and angels will sing.

There will be fewer deaths due to freezing, less frostbite, and fewer kids with their tongues stuck to flagpoles. The caribou in Alaska won’t have to huddle up to the oil pipelines to get warm.

With warmer weather, people will get out in their Birkenstocks and walk to work more. Baby seals, bunnies, nutria, and Dalmatians won’t have to be killed for their coats.

The beachfront land will be naturally redistributed to those poor folks who currently can only afford land 2 miles away. Those hedge fund managers on Wall Street will have to find somewhere else to go to exploit people because New York City will be underwater.

Finally, of course; if we had some Global Warming, we could set the flamingos free.

Where did I go wrong?  Or is this what the alarmists really fear, the end of the conditions to produce fear? A larger temperate zone means more farmland for mankind. This should help with the population explosion and overpopulation problem we are supposed to be facing.

With Climate Change, evolutionists have a built in laboratory to witness Darwin’s Great Works first hand. They can study evolution in progress. What theologian wouldn’t take up this opportunity to see his faith at work? The answer, my friends, is simple:

I hope to get my posts up here at ye olde Townhall with a series on Liberal Logic, that old oxymoron. This flawed way of thinking has caught my attention recently, and I do not understand how so many just ignore the implications of such far out thinking. Maybe it’s my Engineer’s OCD kicking in. So far I’ve got six essays planned, and would welcome input for these and any others. I hope to post one essay a week for the next couple of months. In this series I will make many generalities, so don’t bore me with cries of “Not me!” Don’t worry; I’ll get to you another time.

1:       Progress and Evolution vs. Climate Change:

Liberals love to present themselves as embracing evolution and being enlightened vs. us “Religious Zealots” who hold to the flat earth. Yet they try to keep the earth’s climate stagnant and prevent the whole system from changing and the organisms on it from evolving.

2:       Big Government vs. Big Business:

Liberals seem to embrace larger and larger government, yet rail on and on against big business. The very thought that government is always benevolent is in itself a symptom of defective thinking, but I plan to look at it from a logical standpoint and the differences between the two. (Yes, brother-of-mine, I’m talking about you!)

3:       Capitalism vs. Democracy:

Why is it that so many “Democrats” hate Capitalism, when they are nearly one and the same? This is explored at Fletch for Freedom in one of the many essays, here, but I will explore the issue from my own standpoint, trying to take a logical look at why I think Capitalism is Democracy practiced every day, by every person.

4:       Evolution vs. Animal Protection:

This is similar to 1, above, but here I hope to explore the incessant need to push those dying whales back into the ocean rather than chop them up for food, save the spotted three toed, one legged, tree hopping lizard, in view of evolution.

5:       Gun Control vs. Government Protection:

So many liberals want to get weapons out of the hands of the people and leave us to rely on government (police) protection, yet they complain about police cruelty and the inadequacies of FEMA.

6:       Feminism vs. the Sexual Revolution:

Feminism used to be based on the fact that men and women are created equal. Somehow this went hand in hand with the sexual revolution where women are taken advantage of solely for their bodies, and not for their minds. Have you ever met a male “enlightened liberal” who wasn’t also a womanizer (unless he was gay)?

7:       Diversity vs. …Everything:

Too many that espouse “diversity” often also espouse policies that actually reduce diversity. I’m talking about diversity of thought, diversity of opinion, diversity of actions. The liberal position seems to be that people are too stupid to do anything for themselves, or make their own decisions, so we are going to mandate these things that we think are good for you. Seatbelts – no dissension allowed. Smoking – no dissension allowed. Guns – no dissension allowed.
