A moment of silence, please, for conservatism within the Republican Party.
With the loss of FDT, the party, and the Country is worse off. Now it comes down to the lesser of the evils, and conservatism dies. All the rest support big government in one form or another. And I had come up with more Chuck vs. Fred statements as well.
The absolute worst thing the GOP could do at this point is to nominate McCain for POTUS. At that point it will be time to write the eulogy for the Republican Party. My compatriot in fRedhead-edness, ConforFred may be a little early there, but there’s always time for the top dogs to screw things up.
Personally, I always thought it would be the Demoncrat Party who would implode, but it looks like we’re beating them to it. I would have loved to see the two national political parties changed to the Republicans and the Libertarians. We could have really gotten things done, then, and debates would have been educational, as well.
I’m not sure who I’ll vote for in the primaries now here in Tennessee, but I may go with ConforFred’s suggestion and write Fred in.
After that, I’m going to go for the protest vote in the GOP. I’d rather see a proclaimed socialist like Hitlery screw this country up, then a supposed conservative like McCain screw up the country and the party, while ruining any chances of ever recovering from the damage.
It’s too bad the Libertarians still don’t understand national defense. Anyone know what the Constitution Party is doing these days?
I may see if I can start a real movement to write in this guy in the general election. Go Mercer!
Eventually, the GOP has got to come around, or the Libertarians are going to start winning. And they don't have the sense to take on the Demoncraps.
